F.E.E.R. Emergency Alert System

In March of 2025, Cadillac (a property of General Motors) sponsored a performance titled DOOM: House of Hope at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The manufacturer stocked the Armory with 26 Cadillac Escalades.

The internal combustion Escalade model dominated the hall in which the dance and theater piece was staged. A small share of electric exemplars were stored in the recesses of the showroom. Positioned on the gasoline-burning merchandise, a cast of young models and actors were hired to chant: we’re doomed, we’re fucked, we’re dead.

On the night of the March 12 performance at 9:00PM, a woman from the audience shackled herself to the exhaust pipe of one of the Cadillacs with a lock and chain. The woman wore a T-shirt reading

NEVER COLLABORATE, SAVE LIFE

on one side, and

FUCK GENERAL MOTORS

on the other. Members of the audience assembled around her body. The Park Avenue Armory summoned the police, and the woman was escorted out of the showroom.

In May of 2025, General Motors began to lobby against emissions standards. An internal email to its salaried employees stated that ‘emissions standards that are not aligned with market realities pose a serious threat to our business…’

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, General Motors abandoned its pledge for an all-electric Cadillac fleet. Its CEO announced: ‘Starting next spring and continuing into 2028, we will begin launching the next generation of Cadillac ICE [internal combustion engine] vehicles.’

On March 11, 2025, at 11:04PM, the author of the March 12 protest action had written,

I’ve been ambivalent about the protest, but then realized this project is in part intended as a testing of the temperature by GM. Half of the 26 cars in the performance are gasoline powered. They want to see if they can get away with it.

At 9:51PM of March 12, she wrote:

I did the protest. I was playing chicken with myself and saw it as a test of courage.

1. Global warming is outpacing government projections. At present, the level of heating lies somewhere between +1.4 and +1.7ºC.
2. +2ºC is considered the point of no return: irreversible tipping points escape human control, killing one billion people.
3. +3ºC warming, at present the most likely scenario, threatens to kill 4 billion people this century.
4. Once the major features of Earth – including the AMOC, the Amazon, and the ice caps – collapse, they cannot be rebuilt by human means.

THE POINT OF NO RETURN IS CLOSER THAN IT APPEARS

The following is now either locked-in or projected and can only be partially mitigated with immediate attention and fundamental, emergency shifts in policy and protocol:

• The Amazon rainforest is currently in the middle of a tipping point, turning from a carbon sink to a carbon source.
• As of 2025, the level of ocean heating is too high for the world’s coral reefs to survive.
• The Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) is approaching collapse. A shutdown would scramble planetary weather patterns and eliminate 50% of arable land.

THE BLACKOUT POLICY

As the point of no return approaches, governments are impeding the collection and release of vital information. At the commanding heights of the state and industry, reports and memoranda circulate to which the public has no access.

• On October 2, 2025, the UK’s intelligence bodies cancelled the publication of their ecological collapse report, on the grounds that it was ‘too negative.’ 
• On June 24, 2025, the U.S. Government deleted climate.gov, its public climate website serving a million monthly visitors, and defunded the agency that measures and reports planetary greenhouse gases and temperature changes. 
• In 2024, the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence began removing the phrase ‘climate change’ from its annual threat assessment.
• Since 2008, ODNI has refused to declassify a report titled National Security Implications of Global Climate Change to 2030.

Large media organizations have derelicted their duty to properly inform the public on updates in scientists’ understanding of the emergency. And in 2023, major industry began to annul its climate pledges.

THE FRONT

Since the Front is only the border between acceptance and denial of these facts, anyone can join or abandon it. The Front traverses every person, organization, family and country. Earth scientists report daily at the Front. Disasters and temperature extremes force their victims here. In 2018, four million protesters presented themselves at the international Front; most have since abandoned it. But today the Front for Earth Emergency Recognition, or F.E.E.R., claims hundreds of millions of isolated members, yet to breach the climate ghettos and reorganize into permanent units.

F.E.E.R. COLLAPSIBLE A

On June 6, 2026, a unit of F.E.E.R. reconstituted as Collapsible A and initiated the emergency alert program. This program is a public service to mitigate the official blackout and restore conditions for public realism. Its mission is to fulfill the universal right to know, and withdraw the right to deny.
